Virginia L. Vockroth, 87, of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
A private family service will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with the Deacon Edward F. Cody officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Virginia Lucille was born on July 31, 1926 the daughter of Reece and Beulah (Bell) Tuel in Coon Rapids, Iowa. She was a 1944 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On September 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to James H. Vockroth.
She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. Virginia was very meticulous and gifted in her appearance, crafts and hobbies. She was a very dedicated and loving wife and mother who will be deeply missed.
Virginia is survived by her children: Jean (Richard) Schauer of San Diego, Randall (Barb) Vockroth, Victoria (David) Dummer and Jay Vockroth all of Beaver Dam; seven grandchildren: Richard, Jason, Amy, Justin, Abigail, Danielle and Evann, her great grandchildren and her sister Shirley Baker of Oklahoma City, OK. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, three brothers: Robert, Ben and Dale Tuel, two sisters: Pearl Whipple and Betty Schwantes, sisters-in-law: Elinor Tuel, Ollie Tuel and Aggie Tuel and brother-in-law Bob Baker also other relatives.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Sharon Haase and the staff of the Charleston House for their wonderful and compassionate care of Virginia throughout the years.
