Yvonne L. Novak, 87, of Beaver Dam passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 511 S. Spring St., Beaver Dam with Father Michael Erwin officiating. A visitation will be held prior from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Yvonne was born on July 17, 1930 the daughter of Victor and Lorraine (Tiedke) Goodrich in Beaver Dam. She was a 1948 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On February 23, 1957, she was united in marriage to James “Joe” L. Novak at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was a faithful and active member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. Yvonne along with her husband Joe had managed the Hideaway from 1957-1959 and the Columbus Country Club. Yvonne was also a talented seamstress and had been employed with Band Box in Beaver Dam. After her retirement she continued doing what she loved, sewing and alterations out of her home. Yvonne enjoyed extensive traveling throughout the world with her husband Joe. She loved tending to her beautiful and meticulous flower beds. Yvonne deeply loved her nieces and nephews. Yvonne is survived by her sisters, Ladean (Kenneth) Pollesch of Markesan and Pearl (Calvin) Korth of Burnett; sisters-in-law, Joan Goodrich of Burnett and Mary Goodrich Winter of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe in 2014, her sister Alice Ann (Merlin “Mert) Christian, brothers Calvin “Kelly” Goodrich and Victor “Butch” Goodrich; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph G. (Ione) Novak, Norbert (Marge) Novak, Florence Washtock, Arthur Washtock and Ervin Bykowski. . In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Katharine Drexel Church Renovation Fund or to the American Diabetes Association.
